IPPS 2011 will be held in the beautiful Victorian seaside resort of LLandudno.
The conference will be held in Venue Cymru, on the Promenade, Llandudno. This central location is near to a wide range of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs, as well as shops, restaurants and evening entertainment.
We have reserved a limited number of rooms for delegates at the St George's Hotel, which will be the venue for the conference dinner. The hotel have offered us a reduced rate of £85 single and £105 double, for conference delegates.
If this is not to your taste, there are many other hotels and guest houses nearby to choose from. The Welsh Tourist Information website Visit Wales lists many options for staying nearby. The same website will also provide local information to help you make the most of your visit.
IPPS 2011: Tourism and travel
Llandudno is situated on the North Wales coast, with good access by road and rail. There are good connections to nearby airports at Manchester and Liverpool and other airports, and the Holyhead ferryport. To plan your journey from the airport by train you may find National Rail Enquiries useful.
Arriving by car is easy along the A55 dual carriageway, which joins North Wales to the English motorway network at the M56 or the M53. From the A55 you will take the A470 at Junction 19, signed for Llandudno. Use the "view larger map" link below to check your route.

The conference venue is located approx 10 minutes walk from the train station, and has a public car park right outside. The St George Hotel is a similar distance - making it a pleasant stroll along the prom or through the main shopping street.
