Robert Elias
A former Technical Manager with a major wood-based panels manufacturer, Rob is the
Commercial Manager for the Centre for Advanced and Renewable Materials.
He has been instrumental in establishing the Technology Transfer Centre on the Isle
of Anglesey and in orchestrating renewed focus on private sector income capture.
With his extensive list of contacts across every sector in which it operates, Rob
is a champion for BC commercial activity across the board.
Graham Ormondroyd
Graham is Head of Materials at BC where he manages a large portfolio of commercial
work involving naturally derived materials, waste management and waste utilisation. He
is focused on increasing BC's materials research base to continuously improve its
support of the commercial R&D needs of industrial and government clients.
Graham trained as a forester, forest industries technologist and natural materials
scientist. Graham's personal research has focused on novel wood protection techniques,
chemical modification and novel resin systems. He has also undertaken academic research
on benchmarking resins in MDF production and the use of recycled wood in the
particleboard industry.
